| Community Kitchen Shifts Available | ||
The members of West Side continue to provide 3 to 5 volunteers to help with dinner the third Tuesday and fouth Thursday of each monthat the Food Gatherers Community Kitchen. The kitchen, located in the Robert J. Delonis Center in Downtown Ann Arbor, provides breakfast for shelter guests and lunch and dinner for anyone in need. Volunteering at the Community Kitchen is a rewarding activity. The dinner shift involves serving and clean-up and runs from 5 pm to 7:15 pm. The kitchen is run by the staff of Food Gatherers. All necessary training is provided “on the job.” Volunteers need to be 14 or older. Individuals, families, and church groups (committees, youth, Christian Home Groups, UMW/M, etc.) are welcome to participate. You may volunteer just once or as often as you prefer.
